Boortmalt Malting Course

Boortmalt has been hosting the Malting Course for over 50 years. Originally organised in the UK, it has been taking place for several years in Belgium. Since 2026, Belgian beer culture has been recognised as part of UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage. In Antwerp, Boortmalt’s headquarters and malthouse (one of the largest in the world) are located. The malting plant, the innovation centre and the state‑of‑the‑art laboratory offer excellent opportunities to learn everything about malt.

During one week, international professionals from the malting, brewing, distilling and food industries are invited to follow our insightful and diverse program covering all aspects of the malting process. Fully in-house, the Malting Course allows participants to interact directly with our teams.
