On 2 March 2026, a fire broke out at our M2 malting plant in Antwerp. Thanks to the swift, highly professional intervention of the Antwerp Fire Brigade, the police, and other emergency services, and the calm, disciplined response of our people, the site was safely evacuated, and nobody was injured.
We are deeply grateful to all first responders and to our colleagues for their exemplary behavior and teamwork.
We are now working closely with independent experts to understand the cause of the fire and assess its impact, while M1, M3, M4, ATO, and Sobelgra (malt silo) have already restarted operations.
