🏅 The Boortmalt Carbon Bank officially counts its first certified customer from our craft subbrand Belgomalt: Brouwland.

👉 The Carbon Bank represents our total production of decarbonised malt, which we call Low-Carbon Malt. By purchasing our Low-Carbon Malt, Brouwland is the first client to receive carbon credits from our Carbon Bank, certified by an external auditor under a regional mass balance principle, which enables them to meet their Scope 3 carbon emission targets.

🔁 Thanks to Brouwland's participation in our Low-Carbon Malt, we are able to reinvest in further carbon emission reduction projects, enabling us all to reach our global decarbonisation vision at pace. Every saving we make is then entered into our Carbon Bank. As the distributor of Belgomalt malts, this enables Brouwland to offer low-carbon malt to its customers, which in turn helps them towards a more sustainable brewing process.
