Happy World Environment Day - Antwerp Heat Loop

🌎 On World Environment Day 2023, we would like to highlight the Antwerp Heat Loop which is the largest of Boortmalt 60 projects to reach carbon neutrality: The Antwerp Heat Loop.

♻ Thanks to this innovative pipeline, Boortmalt will re-use the wasted heat of neighbouring factories in its malting plant in Antwerp. This source of energy is one which cannot be overlooked, knowing that it halve the gas consumption of the biggest malting plant in the world.

🎯 By 2026, Boortmalt aims to have 75% of its energy usage supplied from renewable sources. The Antwerp Heat Loop brings us closer to this fundamental objective.
