Main tasks
As Welder (TIG) you work with the maintenance team on preventative maintenance and repairs to keep the business in operation. Focus on safety, food safety, sustainability and technologies to reduce our carbon footprint.
In this role, your core responsibilities will be to:
- Fabricates parts and components from shop drawings or blue prints.
- Ensure all welding operations comply with safety guidelines.
- Prepare and operate TIG welding machines to perform welding tasks.
- Setting up the machine according to the material being welded, aligning the components for welding, and utilizing the machine to create high-quality, precise welds.
- Plan the layout and determine the appropriate welding equipment and method.
- Operate tools like arc welders, grinders, and buffing machines. Select and install torch tips, filler rods, and flux based on metal thickness.
- Assess welds to ensure they are clean, error-free, and meet relevant welding codes.
Master we are looking for ?
- Advanced Diploma/ Level V in auto mechanic or related fields
- 4 years of welding experience from which 3 years with TIG welding.
- Professional certifications on the area of TIG welding is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TIG welding techniques and equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve welding-related issues.
- Measurement Skills: Precision in measuring and aligning metal workpiece
