· Always
observes and implement safety regulations.
· Ensures
all parameters, gages, controlled devices, oil & other chemical levels,
water levels, etc., are kept as per the instruction manuals & operate the
utility plants economically and effectively and always maintain smooth
operations.
· Live
with the Boortmalt values and be a role model to the colleagues.
· Perform
maintenance & repair works if any malfunction or unusual operation in any
of the utility machineries/equipment is detected; attends and records output
reading every hour as per the template provided.
· Perform
the weekly general cleaning activities and annual machinery maintenance
program in cooperation with other team members.
· Ensures
if all inputs and/or chemicals of the utility plants are available in
adequate quantity and quality; report if there is any deviation in any of the
parameters.
· Operate
the boiler and check the proper distribution of the steam to the area
requiring it as per the pre-set pressure and temperature. Ensure that the
operation is economical and effective.
· Checks
whether all chemical dosing units are functional and operational; prepare
daily reports on plant operations and controls.
· Controls
the quality setting out in the WWTP and work cooperatively and as per the
guidance from Quality Assurance and SHE personnel.
· Do
repair and maintenance works timely, effectively, standardly, and
cost-effectively; resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other
problems that may arise.
· Ensure
that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications;
oversee the selection and requisition of spare part for the machines.
· Keep
the cleanness of the working area of all the utility buildings, shop floors,
machineries and undertake deep cleaning activities as required.
· Take
quality control measurements When it comes to the WWTP operations with the
help of Quality Assurance and SHE personnel, record these and act upon
deviations by adjusting the process or inform others according to escalation
procedure.
· Carry
out cleaning, inspection, lubrication and tightening in conformity with the
standards; organize the workplace and spare parts according to the 5S
standards.
· Operate
the utility plants in a water, heat, and power efficient and sustainable way;
monitor segregation and disposal of solid wastes related to wastewater
treatment plant operation; make sure housekeeping is maintained to the
highest standards.
· Make
sure “Safe Work Permit” is implemented whenever necessary.
· Employee
will be urged to move heavy bags and buckets of chemicals and unloading of
AGO/HFO; will be subject to emergency callouts as needed; must be available
to work on any shift either day or night as the utility plant is 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week operation; must arrive at work on time and maintain a
regular and reliable level of attendance.
· Perform
any other related tasks as required ordered by immediate supervisor &
concerned person of the company.
Master recherché
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering,
Food Science, or a related field. - 1+ years of experience in a
manufacturing environment, preferably within malting, brewing, or a
similar industry. - Strong troubleshooting and
problem-solving skills. - Fluent in Amharic and English.
