Join Boortmalt’s global People & Communication team and help shape the employee experience across our APAC operations.

As Regional HR & Communication Manager, you will drive our HR strategy, support business growth, and embed our culture of Strive, Care, Explore and Inspire across multiple sites in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Your Responsibilities

In this key regional leadership role, you will be responsible for:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Turn Group HR strategy into practical regional plans, ensuring smooth and consistent rollout across APAC.
  • Lead priority HR projects that support regional and business objectives.

HR Budget, Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee the regional people budget and HR reporting (headcount, turnover, forecasts, etc.).
  • Ensure HR practices comply with local legislation and advise leadership on regulatory changes.

Employee & Industrial Relations

  • Manage union/industrial relations and support negotiations while ensuring alignment with operational needs.

Payroll, Compensation & Benefits

  • Supervise payroll processes and ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure competitive compensation and benefits aligned with Group C&B guidelines.

Talent, Training & Development

  • Implement training, development, and succession planning processes.
  • Build development plans based on skill needs and promote adoption of our EPR system.
  • Partner with Group HR Development and Talent Acquisition on regional priorities.

Recruitment & Retention

  • Lead recruitment for key roles and contribute to employer branding and employee engagement.
  • Support international mobility in line with Group policies.

Culture & Change Support

  • Act as an ambassador for Boortmalt’s culture and values.
  • Support change management efforts across the region.

Internal Communication & Crisis Communication

  • Ensure effective HR-related communication tailored to the APAC context.
  • Support crisis communication execution when required.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Coach managers on people leadership and HR processes.
  • Lead and develop the APAC HR team.

Master recherché

  • Master’s degree in HR or Labour Law, or equivalent experience
  • 10–15 years of experience as an HR Manager in international, multisite environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and organizational capability
  • Experience managing change and working in multicultural settings
  • High integrity and confidentiality
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
