Your role will encompass a variety of engaging tasks:
Supply Chain Excellence - Be at the forefront of optimizing our supply chain. You'll manage the sourcing, scheduling, and logistics of barley origination into our Australian facilities, ensuring alignment with our S&OP plan.
Smart Purchasing - Join us in establishing short- and long-term supply of malting barley directly from growers and traders. Your skills in pricing and contracting will help us strike the right balance while managing risk effectively.
Quality Assurance & Innovation - Dive into the world of barley varieties and quality factors within our Malt team. By proactively sourcing barley samples and collaborating with technical experts, you'll contribute to our variety development efforts. You'll also be our link to malting barley supplier variety programs, ensuring top-notch quality.
Analytical Insights & Risk Navigation - Your knack for market analysis will shine as you ensure compliance with middle office policies. Identifying both risks and opportunities in the barley market, you'll present insights to our Merchandising Managers and assist in accurate position management.
Sustainability Champion - We're committed to sustainability, and you'll be a key player in developing programs to align with Boortmalt's sustainability goals in farming.
