BOORTMALT ETHIOPIA

Main tasks

- Work closely with the country GM to establish and maintain Operating Boortmalt Business standards every day/every batch/every delivery
- Leads, develops and implements standards, procedures and processes to ensure actual Ethiopia quality standards are consistent with Group requirements and industry best practices.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining quality and food safety standards which enables the business in Ethiopia to obtain and retain ISO 14001/45001/50001 and FSSC 22000 certification (over time)
- Mentor/coach the Plant Operations team to provide technical processing expertise, including technical training, to guide and support Production Managers in the manufacture of malt that meets with our customers expectation. 
- Support and train the local teams on the business/SHE/quality/technical/financial part of our business &  providing support to 
find solutions and resolve potential issues whilst working with internal teams to minimize risk and complaints and providing 
value to our business (in close collaboration with the Group functions teams).

Master we are looking for ?

- Masters degree in Food, Life Science or related fields or equivalent by experience
- Proven experience (+ 10 years) in a similar role within the food/beverage or similar industry in Africa
- Good understanding of field to factory operations, CI and successful implementation and management of Food Safety and Quality standards, GMP and food and feed safety regulations. 
- Knowledge of Malting/Brewing processes is a plus.
- Fluent in English - other languages are a plus
