Description of role

The Customer Service supervisor will oversee a team of customer service representatives, ensuring effective delivery of service to all levels of internal and external customers. Customer oriented individual who handles customer relationships and troubleshoots accordingly assuring satisfaction. Supports corporate initiatives related to Customer Service and Supply Chain.  Maintains a positive, productive service environment which drives a customer-focused culture.

* Supervise and coach a team of Customer Service Representatives who are 100% first point of customer contact for placing purchase orders, customer issues, problems or complaints. 
* Provide first line support, leadership and direction and manage team performance and schedules.
* Implement and monitor a customer satisfaction program.
* Develop and maintains a customer centered demand forecast, managing the status of open orders, past due loads and the delivery and execution of open balance against contracts.
* Work closely with sales and supply chain to understand and execute plan.
* Plans directs, supervises, and evaluates workflow.
* Ensures employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their duties.
* Escalate customer issues to the appropriate internal team assuring root cause analysis is performed, and corrective actions executed.
* Partner with F&A internal team to apply payments and track collection of overdue accounts.
* Assist in maintaining a productive team relationship between Operations and other departments.
* Build ad-hoc reporting as per leaderships needs and your own discretion.
* Propose process improvement initiatives to better the team and the overall company.

Required skills

7+ years experience in the delivery and supervision of Supply Chain delivery;
3+ years people management experience;
Grain industry experience is preferred;
Proficient in Excel and other office suite apps;
SAP and JDE experience a plus;
English required, Spanish an asset
