Main tasks

Reporting to the Chief People & Communication Officer, the Group HR Development Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Boortmalt Talent Development Strategy, in line with the Group HR Strategy and budget. You will be in the driving seat of the implementation of this Development Strategy for Boortmalt worldwide. 

To help us secure business continuity, you will develop a Boortmalt Group Succession plan and a Career Development Plan, in alignment with the Group Strategy and budgetary limits. The implementation thereof will be lead by you, with the support of our Regional HR Managers. 

At Boortmalt, we are Masters of Malt. To support the training and development of our employees, we will found our own Global Boortmalt Academy, whereof you will develop the framework and the internal skills development plan. 

For the worldwide implementation of the Development Strategy, the Succession Plan, Career Development Plan and Boortmalt Academy, you can count on the support of our Regional HR Managers.

On top of the above, you will take the lead in the recruitment process by developing standardized recruitment processes and supervising the recruitment procedures in the different countries. Our Talent and Acquisition Specialist and our Regional HR Managers will support you with the recruiting activities. 

Retention of our employees will be increased by your bright ideas and initiatives. You will inspire our HR team with initiatives to increase employee well being and retention, helping to build the Boortmalt culture. 

Finally, you will be responsible of the accurate and adequate reporting of the training budget, recruitment costs and progress of our new initiatives. 

Master we are looking for ?

If you're inspired by the above, we hope you thick off the majority of the following selection criteria: 


  • You have a Masters degree in law, psychology, HR Management or alternative relevant area. We also consider candidates with an equivalent professional experience 
  • You have strong social and interpersonal skills, proven by a track record in designing and implementing talent development plans and training matrixes in an international production environment 
  • You enjoy recruitment and the structuring thereof 
  • You have a high degree of integrity and confidentiality 
  • You are a fantastic teamplayer with adequate leadership skills 
  • You have solid organizational skills, including attention to detail. Ideally you have experience with project management and budget management
  • You can connect with people in multiple languages whereof English is key. Other preferred languages are Dutch, French or Spanish
