Main tasks
As the Weighbridge & Quality Operator your main focus of your role will be to ensure raw materials and our finished products comply with all quality and legal standards
Your responsibilities will exist of but not be limited to:
Quality Control
Conduct laboratory tests on incoming raw material and in-process product, analyze results using various laboratory / other specified equipment
Maintain receipt & test records and product samples
Classify, label and store samples
Weighbridge operation & sampling, booking goods in, maintaining records
Effective communication with haulage drivers to ensure correct load details are obtained
Clean and sterilize equipment and work area after use
Undertake basic administrative tasks as required
Out-loading
Thorough inspection trailers prior to loading to ensure they conform to required Food & Feed Safety standards
Safe operation of out-loading silo to ensure the correct and sufficient amount of product is available for despatch
Take samples, label and store samples
Undertake routine magnet checks and record findings (report any that are adverse to line manager)
Undertake daily LEV procedural check and record findings ((report any that are adverse to line manager)
Ensure work areas are routinely cleaned and undertake hygiene routines
Liaise with Production Supervisor/Manager to ensure CHIT levels are maintained
Liaise with hauliers as/when required re. malt collections
Undertake basic administrative tasks as required
SHE
Adheres to site SHE standards, including PPE / RPE requirements at all times
Complies with procedures, policies, and SHE regulations
Maintains effective communication to ensure that necessary policies and procedures are understood and followed
Behavioural
Consistently promote high standards through personal example and rolls out through the site so that each member understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
Links own actions and behaviour to the Company Values (Strive, Care, Inspire and Explore) and actively encourages team members to do likewise.
Master we are looking for ?
Experience of working in busy laboratory / despatch environments
Customer Service - customer facing
Secondary education GCSEs grades A – C.
Malting qualification preferred or the desire to work towards this.
Counterbalance FLT Licence
Good oral & written skills
Basic/Intermediate IT skills - Microsoft Package.
