Our relationship with Axereal, Europe’s largest grain cooperative, ensures us access to high quality barley year round.

Main tasks

Within the Integration Management Office Team, we are looking for an Internal Control Manager to strengthen Boortmalt risk management and internal control.

Main tasks: 

-Enrich and conduct the risk mapping exercise at different levels within the organization
-Design, implement, document a pragmatic internal control framework
-Educate and train global and regional teams on defined internal control framework
-Formulate policies and procedures to improve internal controls, compliance and efficiency
-Implement a system to monitor the internal control environment, and define and lead the process
-Define, launch and coordinate control self-assessments
-Deliver adequate and timely reporting on the internal control framework and control deficiencies to ensure appropriate communication, documentation, escalation to business partners, senior leadership 
-Deliver adequate and timely action plans and monitor progress to address and resolve control deficiencies
-Work collaboratively with business and process owners to implement and monitor remediation efforts that result from internal control assessments, ensuring the effective implementation of action plans
-Actively seek standardization and automation, apply and implement best practices for managing internal controls and deploy innovative technology where possible to enhance and continuously improve the design and operating effectiveness of the controls, documentation, assessment and review procedure
-Develop and conduct adequate training and prepare related information material on the internal control objectives, approach and methodology to business partners on a regular basis to build awareness and understanding of risks and control
-Bring best practices to the table & be able to spot best practices that are existing in the organization. 

Master we are looking for ? Master recherché

-Bachelor or Master degree in Business Economics/Finance.
-Knowledge of international accepted Control and Risk Management Frameworks such as COSO / COSO ERM / COBIT  / ISO / etc
-7 years of experience in a similar position in an industrial multinational group 
-Strong experience and interest for how technology and systems can support monitoring our internal control environment & risk management process (eg continuous monitoring, data visualization techniques)
-Fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish a big plus
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trustful and durable relationships
-Good teaching and explaining skills
-Effectiveness and efficiency
-Strong analytical skills includes the ability to spot, assess and address risk, materiality and interdependencies and translate it into impact analysis for the financial reporting and recommendations for improvement
-Strong communication skills presenting internal control and risk matters in an understandable way across various forums and levels of the organization with the right level of detail
-Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on attitude with an excellent attention to details
-Willingness to continuously improve yourself & our organization (striving for operational excellence)
-Autonomous and creative
