Main tasks

As a Barley Procurement Coordinator for Scotland, you will execute the raw material sourcing strategy to ensure adequate supply of malting barley for Boortmalt’s two Scottish maltings. You will also liaise closely with the sales team and provide support and information as necessary to allow customer requirements to be met (volumes/quality). For this role, you will work together with the UK Barely Procurement Manager Development develop the Scotland Procurement Strategy.

Your main tasks: 

- Involvement in the budgeting and forecasting process
- Assist and support UK barley procurement manager in management of growers group
- Maintain and develop relationships with Scottish suppliers (merchants, cooperatives, storage partners etc)
- Liaise with Operations and Technical team to ensure procured barley meets quality needed by the organisation and ultimately our customers 
- Perform a vital role at harvest to work across depart Maintaining and managing barley exit plans for both malting sites in Scotland 
- Support the sales team with involvement in customer meetings as required
- Conduct and coordinate payments to all Scottish barley suppliers    

Master we are looking for ? Master recherché

- You have a first experience in agricultural supply chains, including sourcing.

- You have a relevant degree, preferably related to agriculture or agribusiness. 

- You have aexcellent organisation skills.

- You are proficient in Excel, and other MS Office applications. Experience of ERP systems is a plus.
